Group shuttle services
Transportation service for day camps and school shuttles is offered in addition to regular service as far as resources are available. Thus, we must limit the time slots and sometimes the number of vehicles for this program.
Are you planning a field trip with a group of schoolchildren and would like bus transportation?
First, check if you meet with eligibility requirements for the school transport program:

Frequently Asked Questions
A - No, we can’t make any exceptions. All our requirements have to be met, and we can’t accommodate special situations.
A - No, you can’t. The computer system doesn’t allow you to do so, nor does it allow us to do so.
A - Yes, but each school or camp is limited to two buses per day, depending on availability. If a group of 47 students (one bus) wants to go to the Montréal Science Centre and another group of 57 students (one bus) wants to go to Mount Royal Park, it may be possible if there are two buses available. However, if a group of 47 students (one bus) wants to go to the centre and another group of 67 students (two buses) wants to go to the park, we can’t accept this request because it would require three buses.
A - Yes, and it’s the same price as a regular fare. You must purchase the same fare as you would for a regular bus trip (OPUS card, group fare, 24-hr fare, 3-day fare, etc.) and have it in your possession before boarding the shuttle (fares can’t be bought on the shuttle).
A - No. The 10 days allotted by the system to prepare your shuttle give us the time to select the driver(s) and send them your planned itinerary. We calculate the entire trip so that the driver(s) can return on time to complete their workday without causing any delays. Your trip’s itinerary is also designed to ensure that our buses use routes that can accommodate heavy vehicles and drop you off safely.
A – No, it’s not. If your destination is more than 1 km away from a métro station, you can request the shuttle service. However, if your destination is also less than 1 km away from a métro station, you’ll be asked to take the métro. Groups of 200 or more can easily travel on the métro.
A – We operate on a first come, first served basis. Even if you want to go on a trip in seven weeks, other groups may have already booked their trips on that day, and we only have a limited number of vehicles available for these activities.
A – Requests are processed by our department as they are received, based on the requested dates. If your trip is in 12 days, it will be processed before a request for a trip in five weeks. We need you to reply within 48 business hours to confirm your details (e.g., move up a return time, clarify an address) and so that another group can use the service if you can’t. We also ask that you check your junk mail and spam folders carefully to ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.
A - You need to be back at your school (i.e., your point of departure) by 2:30 p.m. at the latest for a good reason: your driver needs to be available for the afternoon rush hour and can’t be late. If you leave at 2:15 p.m. and the trip takes 35 minutes, you won’t be at the school by 2:30 p.m., which is why we suggest you leave at 1:45 p.m. We recommend that you use Google Maps to calculate your return time and add a 10% margin, as buses can’t always travel on the same routes as cars.
A - We must park our buses in safe, authorized areas, and we can’t drop off passengers where the bus would interfere with traffic. If we change a location, an agent will tell you where the new site is. Note that we’re not allowed to use private parking lots, even if they belong to large chains (IGA, Métro, Costco, etc.).
