Group Fare for kids 13 and under

The right fare for you

The Group Fare is for you if you’re an adult and:

• You’ll be taking the bus and/or métro
• You only need to use the STM network
• You’ll be riding with no more than ten kids aged 6 to 13

Price

The Group Fare comes at a reduced cost of $22.

Transfers and validity

The Group Fare is valid for 120 minutes and includes transfers on the STM network. You must keep your validated fare on you, and your group must stay together for the whole trip.

Combining the Group Fare with children eligible for free transit

You can accompany up to 15 kids total: up to ten can use the Group Fare and up to five can ride for free if they’re 11 or under.

Chaperones must be at least 14 years old and have a valid transit fare.

Tips and rules for group travel

Going through the turnstiles

In the métro, you must validate your Groupe Fare at the fare gate closest to the station agent’s booth. Once you validate your fare, your entire group can go through.

The other turnstiles are designed to only let one person through at a time.

When to plan your group trip

The best time to travel with a group of kids is outside of rush hour, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Use the métro whenever possible, as it has more capacity for groups than the bus.

Big groups on the bus  

You can travel with no more than 25 kids on the same bus.

If your group is larger than that, you’ll have to split up.
