The STM is inviting its customers to speak up

Press release

Montréal, August 24, 2012  –  Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is inviting commuters to take part in public transit developments in Montréal by voicing their opinions and channelling them through the my VOICE, my STM research panel. The invitation serves a simple goal: involving transit users in the STM’s expansion.

In order to be heard, one must register. Anyone interested must simply go to stm.info/myvoice and fill out the registration form by providing information to create their transit user profile. Once the registration step is completed, customers will be invited now and then to take part in surveys and, eventually, in discussion groups, forums, and other research activities based on their customer profile. They can also consult their personal page and any time and see which surveys are available to them.

Such public consultations will help the STM improve its services, measure the impact of improvements after the fact, determine needs, test advertising campaigns and new products beforehand, ascertain the public’s receptivity regarding fares, the impact of route modifications, etc.

For customers, this represents a very interesting opportunity to be heard and to influence how the STM develops transit services. Anyone wishing to be among those who have a say in matters can go to the website and register today. The more potential participants, the more accurate the consultations. And as a bonus, the STM will reward panel members for their time by entering their name in draws. Because small gifts go a long way in maintaining good relationships…
