Starting March 25, the Green and Orange will have departures every five minutes max during off-peak periods during the day and until late in the evening.
As announced in the 2019 budget presentation last November, métro service on the Green and Orange lines will be enhanced as of March 25, 2019, with departures every five minutes max during off-peak periods during the day and until late in the evening.
From 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., passengers using the Orange and Green lines will not have to wait more than five minutes for their train. Departure frequency has already been shortened and optimized during peak periods.
This measure, which represents an additional 3,592 km a day and 17,960 km a week, is part of a series of actions taken by the STM to enhance its customers’ transit experience.
With more frequent departures on the two busiest lines of its network, the STM wants to help improve passengers’ level of comfort and make it easier for them to plan their trips.
