Montreal, January 26, 2007 - The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) wishes to inform its clients that, because of urgent work that must be carried out during the night, métro service on the yellow line will, under the circumstances, begin at 9 am on Saturday, January 27.

For transit users who usually travel on the yellow line, the STM has established a replacement bus service that will operate between 5:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. During that time, STM staff will be on hand to direct passengers.

This bus service will travel the following route:

  • Ten buses will travel back and forth between Longueuil terminus (Quai 8) and Papineau métro station.

  • Two other buses will travel back and forth between Papineau and Jean-Drapeau metro stations.

The STM apologizes for any inconvenience to transit users caused by this situation and thanks its clients for their usual understanding. When planning their transportation, transit users are invited to call STM-INFO (514 786-4636) or to consult the system map or STM website at www.stm.info for more useful, transit-related information.
