In collaboration with STM and AMT, the police departments of Montréal, Laval and Longueuil today launched their « Réagissez – dénoncez » campaign. The goal: reminding transit users of the importance of taking action and reporting sexual assaults and offences that may occur in the public transit system.

Even if such behaviours are infrequent, the police departments invite anyone who is a victim or a witness to react and report these offences by calling 9-1-1 or contacting a police officer.

The campaign will last a month, by raising awareness, posting ads in train stations, métro cars and buses, as well as appearing on the websites of participating organizations.

By working together, the STM, AMT, Montréal (SPVM), Laval and Longueuil police departments ensure safe transportation for public transit users.
