Dans un souci de gestion responsable, la Société de transport de Montréal (STM) rend public son budget 2026, chiffré à 1,8 G$ et présentant de nouvelles réductions de dépenses récurrentes de 56,5 M$, afin de respecter son cadre financier, tout en protégeant l’offre kilométrique de service. Le Programme des immobilisations 2026-2035, également rendu public, représente des besoins en investissements de 24,1 G$ sur 10 ans, dont 15,2 G$ en maintien d’actifs afin d’assurer une offre de service fiable et sécuritaire, tout en limitant le vieillissement des infrastructures et des équipements.
