The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will implement a special métro schedule to allow the public to fully enjoy New Year’s Eve celebrations. Service will be extended again this year, from December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026, on Lines 1 – Green, 2 – Orange and 4 – Yellow.
This exceptional measure is intended to provide a safe and efficient travel option for those planning to celebrate the arrival of the new year, taking into account the fact that several major celebrations and gatherings are planned throughout the city. It should be noted that this extension of the métro service will not be affected by the overtime strike of the maintenance workers' union.
As the schedule for the last trains will vary depending on the métro line, STM encourages customers to plan their return trip carefully using the page stm.info/en/NewYears. Keep in mind that all-night bus service is another transportation option available to Montrealers. In addition, paratransit will be available all night long.
Please note that the regular service schedule will be in effect for Line 5 – Blue and that the regular rates will apply.
