This two-part artwork commemorates the Olympic Games held in Montreal in the summer of 1976. It evokes the very essence of competition, namely the aim of athletes to win a medal. The sculptures that make up the artwork recall gold, silver and bronze, precious metals used for the crowning of athletic exploits since the modern era.
