The STM is a public body subject to the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information (R.S.Q., chapter A-2.1). The public therefore has access to STM documents in accordance with the rules enacted by the Act. Aside from personal information, which is protected by the Act, the majority of STM documents are of a public nature. They are thus accessible to anyone who requests to see them.
