The STCUM CAM (Bus-Métro Pass) Will be Accepted at the Longueuil Métro Station as of January 1st.
Montréal, December 20, 1996 - The Montreal Urban Community Transit Corporation (STCUM) wishes to inform its customers that as of January 1st, 1997, the Bus-Métro pass will be accepted at the Longueuil station, on the métro's yellow line.
This has been made possible following modifications to the rules of utilisation of monthly passes, which rules had been implemented at the time of the creation - by the Québec Government - of the Conseil métropolitain de transport en commun (public transit metropolitan council) in 1990.
These rules prevented the utilisation of a monthly pass, such as the CAM, in exploitation territories other than the MUC. This is the reason customers had to purchase a regional monthly pass to have access to the STCUM network from the Longueuil station.
One more reason to give a CAM pass as a Christmas gift!
The STCUM would like to remind its ridership that the Bus-Métro pass is not only an excellent Christmas gift idea but also that its users will benefit from even more savings in 1997, thanks to the CAM EXTRA.
Indeed, from January to April, holders of CAM, CTAM and Carte métropolitaine passes will be able to enjoy substantial savings at Burger King, Pharmaprix, Place Montréal Trust, Nettoyeurs Daoust and Nettoyeur Michel dry cleaners, the IMAX theatre, the Vidéotron Super Club and Funtastique Travel.
Exceptionally, the Bus-Métro Pass will be on sale as of December 20 at the Berri-UQAM and McGill stations. It will be available on December 26 in the rest of the network.
