Métro’s Blue line now accessible

The elevator from the Blue line to Jean-Talon station is now in operation.

This means the Blue line is now universally accessible. Reduced-mobility users will also be able to go through Snowdon station, where elevators are in service.

The métro network currently has 15 universally accessible stations.

Accessibility work is also underway at Jean-Drapeau, Berri-UQAM (Green line), Mont-Royal, Viau, Vendôme, Place-des-Arts, Préfontaine, Villa-Maria, Angrignon, and Jolicoeur stations.

This work will bring the STM closer to its goal of 41 accessible stations by 2025, as set out in its Organizational Strategic Plan.
