On September 27, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) received an offer from the maintenance workers' union covering some of the normative clauses
Unfortunately, the STM considers that the Union's offer did not take into account the financial context nor the operational reality of the STM and did not represent any progress. In an effort to reach an agreement, the STM submitted a counteroffer.
The negotiating committee representing the STM at the table has all the expertise and authority necessary to negotiate with the union in order to reach an agreement.
The STM remains firmly committed to the negotiation process and is making every effort to avoid a strike.
If the maintenance workers' union nevertheless decides to continue its strike, scheduled to last until October 5, the STM invites its customers to plan their trips ahead of time by consulting the dedicated page: stm.info/strike.
