My Alerts Montréal, September 4, 2012 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has partnered for a second year with the OUMF Festival sponsored by the Société de développement commercial du Quartier latin (SDC). This festival held from September 4 to 8 will feature many musical performances and provide a showcase for emerging artists. Such an event makes the STM proud to promote les Étoiles du métro stars within this young and dynamic festival setting.
Even though the Etoiles du métro normally perform in the métro, it is also possible to see them live in outdoor venues through various events such as the OUMF festival, from September 5 to 8. In addition to presenting Étoiles du métro performances, the STM’s presence will also be visible with the Funambus , and STM squads.

The Funambus presents:
In this recycled bus transformed into a welcoming promotional venue, festival enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see the exhibit: “Évadez-vous en ville” on September 6 and 7, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on September 8, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thanks to this exhibit, visitors will realize that a car is not essential to enjoy outdoor activities on water or land on the city outskirts. Buses and the métro provide an easy gateway to a multitude of activities.
STM squads promote:
Squad members costumed as drivers will drop in different bars associated with the festival and roam festival streets on evenings of September 6, 7 and 8. They will inform festival-goers about the advantages of using the Unlimited evening pass, the ideal option to travel freely between work and your favourite café, the café and a trendy bar, and from the bar to home.
Contest Midnight Tonight
In addition, every night, festival enthusiasts and night owls will have until midnight to enter the Midnight Tonight contest for a chance to win a gift certificate from the Admission network. A cardholder containing an Unlimited evening pass will be given out to participants along with an explanatory leaflet providing details about the pass.
Unlimited evening
With the Unlimited Evening pass, the owner enjoys unlimited travel between 6 p.m. in the evening until 5 a.m. the following day. The person can travel as often as required throughout the STM bus and métro network, according to day and night schedules. However, it should be mentioned that the pass must be used once before midnight to be valid.
