Architect: Jean Dumontier (City of Montréal).

Opened: April 1967.

Origin of name: the City of Longueuil, a name that possibly refers to a village in Normandy, where Charles Le Moyne (1626-1685) came from and who was the first owner of the land; the Université de Sherbrooke, founded in 1954, that runs a campus next to the métro station since 2002.

Did you know? The name of this station was Longueuil from 1967 to 2002.

Artwork: murals by Jean Dumontier.
