The third phase of work at the corner of Legendre and Saint-Laurent is underway

Press release

Montréal, July 4, 2012  –  The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) wishes to remind transit users that the third phase of work at the corner of Legendre and Saint-Laurent boulevard began last June 26, as planned, and will be ongoing until next August 10.

As a result, Legendre St. is closed to traffic in both directions at the intersection of Saint-Laurent. As for traffic on that boulevard, it is limited to a single lane in both directions when reaching Legendre. The bus stops for the 55 boulevard Saint-Laurent and 146 Christophe-Colomb / Meilleur lines facing the Legendre bus garage and at the corner of Henri-Julien St. are therefore cancelled.

In order to bypass the area impacted by the work while construction is underway, the STM invites all motorists to use Sauvé, Berri and Lajeunesse Sts. as Legendre St. is only open to local traffic between Saint-Laurent and Henri-Julien.

The STM wishes to assure customers that every necessary measure was taken to ensure their safety, and that it has made every effort to keep inconvenience to a minimum. The public is invited to visit the Info Travaux section of the City of Montréal website at http://ville.montreal.qc.ca to find out more about the construction work and available alternate routes.
