Next May 31, travel without a passport:
The STM takes you to museums without borders !

Montréal, May 29, 200
9 Once again this year, the Board of Montreal Museum Directors and the STM will provide free transportation service on Sunday, May 31, thereby making it easier for participants to travel to the four corners of the city on their way to discovering art and culture.

The departure point for the bus routes going to the 30 participating museums will be at Centre Pierre-Charbonneau, located at 3000 Viau, making that central meeting place accessible from Viau metro station. In all, 45 buses, three more than last year, will provide service along six routes specially created for the event. The shuttle service is free from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last buses leaving from Centre Pierre-Charbonneau for museums at 4:30 p.m.

“The partnership between the STM and the Board of Montréal Museum Directors goes back to 1987 and we are obviously very proud of it. I invite everyone to take advantage of the free shuttle service at their disposal to travel to these museums without borders and , once again, without a passport !,” declared the Chairman of the STM Board of Directors, Michel Labrecque.

Visitors who would rather not use the shuttle service can still take part in the event by using the STM’s regular bus and métro network, as several museums are already accessible by regular public transit. They will, however, have to show a valid transit fare. The STM reminds these participants to pay special attention to the 80 or so works of art featured inside metro stations.

By calling A U-T-O-B-U-S (514 288-6287), visitors can obtain bus timetables at their stop. For all other information, they can call STM●INFO (514 786-4636). More transit related information is available from the STM website.
