the Société transport de Montréal will be sponsoring the
Prix du public STM

Montréal, February 16, 2009 The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is proud to be a partner to the Montréal International Children Film Festival (FIFEM), held at Cinéma Beaubien next February 28 to March 8, 2009.

Indeed, the STM is especially delighted to sponsor the Prix du public STM competition closing the Festival, as it will honour the most popular movie among young viewers. The purpose of the STM initiative is to bring the corporation closer to Montréal families and to promote a positive image of public transportation among young moviegoers. In doing so, the STM hopes to encourage them to choose sustainable means of transportation.

Moreover, the Family Outings programme provides an affordable option for families using the bus and métro system for their activities. The Festival is the perfect opportunity for them to enjoy the advantages of the programme on Saturday, February 28 and March 7, and on Sunday, March 1 and 8, as families can go to Cinéma Beaubien, where festival movies are presented, at little cost.
