The STM expands service
on line 77 – Cgep Marie-Victorin
Montreal, March 14, 2008 - The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is pleased to inform its clientele that the expanded service on bus route 77 – Cgep Marie-Victorin will take effect on Monday, March 17, 2008. As of then, this bus route will provide continuous daytime service on weekdays at approximately 60-minute intervals between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
This additional service will provide greater availability to STM customers who already use this bus route during rush hour. The increase of 2 700 hours of service per year will thus extend the schedule of this route serving the Radisson métro station.
« This initiative is part of the service improvement program announced last month, which is targeted, in particular, at increasing ridership and providing Montrealers with an even more efficient network », stated the Chairman of the STM’s Board of Directors, Claude Trudel. « The addition of service on this line, which is primarily used by the CEGEP students, will provide them with greater flexibility in dealing with their variable schedules ».
« The additional bus service is very good news for the population of our borough, which is also served by nine métro stations », noted Lyn Thriault, mayor of the borough of Mercier – Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
We invite customers to consult the March Planibus schedule for line 77, which contains the new timetable listing the departures throughout the day. For any other route-related information, customers are invited to call STM-INFO
(514-786-4636), to refer to the system map or to visit the STM’s Web site (www.stm.info), which contains a wealth of useful information.
