Montreal, August 14, 2008 – Due to the parade celebrating the gay and lesbian community taking place on Sunday, August 17, the routes of certain Société de transport de Montréal bus lines will be modified.
Thus, there will be no service on lines 15 – Sainte-Catherine and 150 – Ren-Lvesque between noon and 6:00 p.m.
The route of line 14 – Amherst will be modified between noon and 7:00 p.m., while that of line 30 – Saint-Denis/Saint-Hubert will be modified between noon and 6:00 p.m.
To plan their trips more efficiently for this event, clients should call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (514 288-6287) to obtain the schedules at their bus stop.
For any other information, including travel directions, call STM-INFO (514 786-4636). Bus timetables updated for special events, are now available on the STM’s Web site at www.stm.info and can be consulted up to seven days in advance. The Web site also contains plenty of other useful information.
Bicycles in the métro
Bicycles will be allowed in the métro network on the day of the parade, unless otherwise specified due to heavy ridership.
The STM recommends that métro users purchase their return tickets ahead of time to avoid waiting in line, as ridership levels are much higher after an event than before.
