STM Transit Information
Schedule changes for the Easter holiday

Montreal, 12 April 2006- The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) would like to remind transit users that bus and métro schedules will be slightly modified during the long Easter weekend.

On Friday, April 14, and Monday, April 17, buses will run according to either Saturday or Sunday timetables, or even follow a special schedule, while a few others will provide regular weekday service. Most bus routes will maintain regular weekend service on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. Also, because a number of religious activities and processions will be held in several Montréal neighbourhoods, buses could run late on a few routes on Good Friday.

As for the métro, on Friday, April 14, and Monday, April 17, trains will run every 8 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and every 7 minutes until 6 p.m. on the Green and Orange lines. Trains will run every 7 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the Blue line. As for the Yellow line, trains will run according to the Sunday schedule on both Good Friday and Easter Monday. On both these days, service will be provided by six-car trains on the Yellow line and three-car trains on the Blue line. Regular weekend service will be offered on both Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17. Service levels on all métro lines will be adjusted, if needed.

When planning their transportation for the long Easter weekend, transit users should consult either the Planibus or Infobus timetables or call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287) for schedule information at their stop. For any other information, including travel directions, they can call STM-INFO (786-4636). Updated bus timetables are now available on the STM’s website at www.stm.info and can be consulted up to seven days in advance.
