Modifications to STM bus service
Montreal, 31 July 2003 Due to the number of shows and events being held around the citys Gay Village on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3, as well as the Gay Pride Parade held on Sunday, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will modify its downtown bus service.
There will be no service at all on the 15 - Sainte-Catherine bus route as of 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, nor all day Sunday, August 3. Service will also be suspended on the 150 - Ren�-L�vesque bus route between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 3.
As of Friday, August 1st, the following bus routes will be slightly modified throughout various periods:
- 14 - Amherst, from 5 a.m. August 3 to 1 a.m. August 4 ;
- 30 - Saint-Denis/Saint-Hubert, from 8:30 p.m. August 1st to 7 a.m. August 4 ;
- 55 - Boul. Saint-Laurent, from 11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 3 ;
- 57 - Pointe-Saint-Charles, from 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. August 3 ;
- 61 - Wellington, from 11:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. August 3 ;
- 66 - The Boulevard, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. August 3 ;
- 107 - Verdun, from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 3 ;
- 165 - C�te-des-Neiges, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. August 3 ;
- 166 - Queen Mary, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. August 3 ;
- 168 - Cité-du-Havre, from 11:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. August 3 ;
- 358 - Sainte-Catherine, from 1 a.m. August 3 to 6 a.m. August 4 ;
- 361 - Saint-Denis, from 1 a.m. August 2 to 6 a.m. August 4.
The STM recommends that anyone planning on attending festivities by métro should purchase their return ticket in advance, as ridership levels are much higher after an event than before.
