My Alerts Holiday Schedule for STM Services
Montreal, December 19, 2002 The Christmas and New Years holidays will bring a few changes to the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) scheduled transit services. Regular weekday service will be provided on most bus routes, except Wednesdays December 25 and January 1, as well as Thursday January 2, when the majority of buses will follow the Sunday timetable. Unless otherwise specified on Planibus schedules or Infobus panels, Saturday service will prevail December 26 on most bus routes for Boxing Day.
Public taxibus service will be suspended December 25 and 26, as well as January 1and 2, in the Anjou, Lachine/Dorval, L�Zle-Bizard and Chemin Senneville/Quartier Sainte-Marie sectors.
As for Paratransit services, transportation will be available throughout the holiday season. Clients wishing to travel must reserve ahead as per the usual conditions. Paratransit customer service will be closed on December 25 and 26, as well as January 1 and 2. The office will be open Tuesdays, December 24 and 31, from 8:30 am to noon.
Metro service
On Wednesdays, December 25 and January 1, transit users can expect 12-minute intervals between trains on the 1 - Green and 2 - Orange lines, while intervals on the 5 - Blue and 4 - Yellow lines should be approximately 10 minutes.
On Thursdays, December 26 and January 2, Sunday service levels will be provided on the Green, Orange and Yellow lines, although additional trains will run on the Green line from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm December 26, to accommodate Boxing Day shoppers. The Blue line will enjoy Saturday service both days.
The STM would like to remind all those attending the New Years Eve Ball at Place Jacques-Cartier that regular Tuesday métro service will be in effect. As such, the last trains will depart Champ-de-Mars station at 12:52 am towards Henri-Bourassa and at 12 :55 am towards Côte-Vertu. From Place-dArmes station, the last departures are scheduled at 12 :51 heading to Henri-Bourassa and at 12 :56 am heading to Côte-Vertu.
CAM sales
The January 2003 bus and métro pass will be available at all métro stations from December 27 to January 7. Transit users can also buy their pass at Berri-UQAM, Côte-Vertu, Jean-Talon and Lionel-Groulx stations on December 25 and 26. The STM reminds you that the January regular monthly pass will cost $52 ($ 26 for reduced fare).
