Reflecting the diversity of its users is important to the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). It is recognized as an inclusive company that builds on its employees’ talents and commits to promoting diversity and inclusion in all its activities.

The STM first affirmed this commitment by adopting the Equal Opportunity Employment Plan in 1987, and it has taken multiple actions since. The STM furthered its efforts with the adoption of a Declaration for Diversity and Inclusion in 2012, in which firm commitments were made towards its employees and customers. Among these was its commitment to promote diversity and inclusion in its activities. By developing and maintaining a culture that values diversity and inclusion, the company offers everyone the opportunity to contribute fully and ensures that an open and respectful work environment is maintained.

With such a strong commitment, it was only logical that the STM partner with Montréal Pride as the event’s official transporter — which it has done for three years now. As part of this partnership, the STM invites everyone to use public transit to enjoy the numerous activities on offer at Parc des Faubourgs from August 9 to 19, 2018. The STM will participate in the August 19 parade with its delegation of employees, DJ and popular playlist, replete with typical métro sounds. In addition, the bus transformed into an urban artwork celebrating diversity by artist Aless MC as part of the MURAL festival will be used as the parade float.

You can also spot this magnificent vehicle on the streets of Montréal, as it's running on lines 15, 24 and 150.
