Agreement in principle reached by the STM and the bus drivers, métro operators and support service employees union

News

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is pleased to announce that after an eight-month period of constructive negotiations with the bus drivers, métro operators and support service employees union, both parties have reached an agreement in principle on the renewal of the collective agreement.

This positive agreement for both parties allows the main objectives to be reached. It meets the economic and operational requirements of flexibility in work organization, within which the new work contract was to be negotiated. The ultimate goal remains delivering the promised service to transit users.

Over the next few days, the agreement will be submitted for approval to members of the union and the STM’s Board of Directors.
