Montréal, April 5, 2017 –  Société de transport de Montréal (STM) announces it has created the 428 – Express Parcs-industriels-de-l’Est bus line, while enhancing service on the 449 – Express Rivière-des-Prairies, set to take effect this fall. The initiative aims to improve the customer experience along with the offer of bus service in the Rivière-des-Prairies and Anjou industrial park sectors.

To begin with, a new bus line, the 428 – Express Parcs-industriels-de-l’Est, will cover the route taken by the 449– Express Rivière-des-Prairies in the east-end’s industrial parks. That bus line will operate during peak rush hour periods, with eastbound service in the morning, and westbound service in the afternoon.

Also, the 449 bus route is set to change in the Rivière-des-Prairies borough, in an effort to improve how it meets the needs of public transit customers who live in there. Indeed, by keeping to a single route in each direction throughout the day, between the residential area of Rivière-des-Prairies and Radisson métro station, especially along Armand-Bombardier et Perras boulevards.

This measure represents an increase of some 3,000 hours of bus service per year and will enhance the offer of service between the métro’s Green line, Anjou’s industrial park, and both the residential areas and commuter train station in Rivière-des-Prairies, starting next August 28.
