Improved métro service for the summer season

Several service improvements will be deployed for the métro network effective June 19.

Now that summer is almost here, several service improvements will be deployed for the métro network effective June 19. Many Montrealers will soon begin their vacations and a large number of tourists are in town to take advantage of great Montréal events and celebrate the 375th anniversary of the metropolis. The STM is therefore improving its métro service to allow its clientele to travel more easily and encourage them to leave their cars at home.

More service on the Green line

  • Addition of one train during the morning and evening rush hours
  • Frequency of trains increased before and after rush hours
  • This represents an additional 140 trips from Monday to Friday compared to the same period in 2016

More service on the Orange line

  • Addition of 2 trains during the morning and evening rush hours
  • Frequency of trains increased before and after rush hours
  • This represents an additional 140 trips from Monday to Friday compared to the same period in 2016

Blue line

  • The extended service in force since last March 27 will also be in place this summer.
  • Service is extended by 30 minutes from Monday to Friday, on Sundays and on statutory holidays, and by one hour on Saturdays.
