The STM announces service improvements
in the Chabanel and Marché Central sector
- Creation of the 19 – Chabanel / Marché Central bus route
- Modification to the 55 – Saint-Laurent bus route
This new route will operate Monday to Friday, from 8 p.m. until métro closing time starting next June 21. The new route will depart from Crémazie metro station, travel along Saint-Laurent boulevard to Chabanel, then continue on to Marché Central before looping back toward Crémazie station. As the 19 bus route will offer a more direct link between Crémazie station and the Chabanel / Marché Central sector, clients will have access until late at night. Modifying that bus route implies an increase in annual bus service of some 1330 hours and will require an additional vehicle to provide service. Route modification for the 55 – Saint-Laurent
The northern portion of the 55 – Saint-Laurent bus route is modified so that buses travel along Louvain until de l’Esplanade and before ending on Chabanel. Southbound, the bus route will now follow Saint-Laurent boulevard instead of Clark street. This route change will provide improved access for workers in the Chabanel sector and contribute to improving the quality of life of residents. Clients should consult the summer Planibus as they feature timetable information for all bus routes, including the new ones. – 30 –
