Montréal, le 16 mai 2019 – La Société de transport de Montréal (STM) informe sa clientèle de l’amélioration de service de la desserte de bus dans le secteur Mercier-Est, et ce, à compter du 17 juin prochain.

Montréal, May 16, 2019 — The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is announcing improved bus service in the Mercier-Est area, as of June 17, 2019.

The STM will reroute the 26 Mercier-Est line onto Des Ormeaux Street instead of Honoré-Beaugrand Street, between Sherbrooke and Hochelaga streets. The change aims to distribute access to public transit more evenly in the area. Using Des Ormeaux will also double the service on this street, currently used only by the 185 Sherbrooke East line, which runs every 30 minutes on average. 

The STM Board of Directors adopted a resolution on April 3, 2019, whereby the Chief Executive Officer was to speed up the necessary steps to obtain the designation of special constable for STM inspectors. These steps are already well underway.

Following this decision, the STM is announcing two new measures to improve and deepen discussions around the status change.

Le conseil d’administration de la STM a adopté une résolution le 3 avril dernier afin que le directeur général accélère les démarches requises pour obtenir le statut de constables spéciaux pour ses inspecteurs. Celles-ci sont déjà bien amorcées.

Dans la foulée de cette décision, la STM annonce deux nouvelles mesures visant à venir bonifier et enrichir la réflexion entourant ce changement de statut.

Dans ce contexte, la STM dévoile aujourd’hui une stratégie pour le centre de l’île de Montréal, qui inclut notamment  Ville-Marie, le Mile-End, le Plateau-Mont-Royal et Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.

Montréal, May 13, 2019 – In 2018, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) began extensive work on the future of the bus network, which will culminate with the completion of its 2025 Strategic Organizational Plan. In this context, today the STM is unveiling a strategy for the central Island of Montréal, which includes Ville-Marie, Mile-End, Plateau-Mont-Royal and Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. The Mouvement orange is a multi-phase strategy that involves implementing various measures in the bus and métro network along the Orange line between Beaubien and Berri-UQAM stations.

Montréal, May 6, 2019 –– The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is announcing the implementation of a reserved lane for buses, taxis and carpools on Côte-Vertu Boulevard, between Hervé-Saint-Martin and Montée de Liesse. This reserved lane will be operational from May 13, 2019.

Montréal, April 25, 2019 — Last night, as part of a meeting of the Customer Service and Universal Accessibility Committee of its board of directors, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) held a public consultation on Île-des-Sœurs with residents and workers from the area. The purpose was to discuss proposed modifications to bus lines in connection to the arrival of the first REM station on the territory of Montréal in this area.

Montréal, le 25 avril 2019 – Dans le cadre d’une séance du Comité Service à la clientèle et accessibilité universelle de son conseil d’administration, la Société de transport de Montréal (STM) a tenu hier soir à l’Île-des-Sœurs une séance de consultation publique pour échanger avec les résidents et les travailleurs du secteur sur les différentes propositions de modifications aux lignes de bus du secteur liées à l’arrivée de la première station du REM à cet endroit sur le territoire de Montréal.
