Montréal, August 26, 2020 – Following the announcement of the Employee Commute Initiative, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (CCMM), the City of Montréal, the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation du Québec and the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM), invites companies from all over Greater Montréal to participate in this important project.

Montréal, August 19, 2020 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is beginning the gradual rollout of a new version of its mobile website today in an effort to improve the customer experience for its users. The site should be fully rolled out in the next few weeks.

Each year, customers visit the STM web site 24 million times from mobile devices, accounting for about 80% of total visits. The new version of the mobile site was designed to allow quick viewing of schedules and nearby routes, a need expressed by 86% of customers in preliminary testing.

Montréal, August 6, 2020 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) wishes to inform its customers that all bus lines will return to fare validation and front-door boarding beginning on August 10.

Montréal, le 6 août 2020 – La Société de transport de Montréal (STM) souhaite informer sa clientèle du retour complet de la validation et de l’embarquement par la porte avant sur toutes les lignes de bus, et ce, à compter du 10 août prochain.

The STM is encouraging students to obtain their cards from home. They can do so either online or by mail.

Ainsi, la STM privilégie l’obtention sans déplacement. Ce faisant, deux possibilités s’offrent à cette clientèle, soit en ligne ou par la poste.

Two elevators will be installed. The Édouard-Montpetit entrance building will be expanded to make room for a staircase, two fare collection turnstiles and an elevator connecting all levels on the St-Michel side. This will require closing the entrance building for the duration of the work, which will be about two years. A second elevator will be installed on the north side connecting the walkway and platform levels on the Snowdon side. During the work, the station will remain accessible to customers at all times via the Vincent-D’Indy entrance building.

Deux ascenseurs seront ainsi installés. L’édicule Édouard-Montpetit sera agrandi afin de pouvoir y installer un escalier, deux lignes de perception et un ascenseur qui reliera tous les niveaux en direction St-Michel. Pour ce faire, la STM devra fermer cet édicule pour la durée des travaux qui s’échelonneront sur environ deux ans. Un second ascenseur, installé du côté nord, reliera les niveaux passerelle et quai en direction Snowdon. Durant les travaux, les clients pourront accéder à la station en tout temps par l’édicule Vincent-D’Indy.
