Montréal, June 21, 2018 – To mark the occasion of the last day in service of the original MR-63 train, Mr. Phillipe Schnobb, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), and the métro’s builders Roger C. Choquette (engineer and director), Guy R. Legault (architect and urbanist) and Morley L. Smith (industrial designer) took their last ride aboard the train on the Blue line this morning, in the presence of Mr. André Fortin, Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transport Electrification, as well as Mr.
Montréal, le 21 juin 2018 – À l’occasion de la dernière journée en service du train d’origine MR-63, M. Philippe Schnobb, président du conseil d’administration de la Société de transport de Montréal (STM), et les bâtisseurs du métro MM. Roger C. Choquette (ingénieur et directeur), Guy R. Legault (architecte et urbaniste) et Morley L. Smith (designer industriel), ont effectué leur dernier voyage à bord de ce train sur la ligne bleue ce matin, et ce, en présence de MM.
Montréal, June 15, 2018 – Improving transit users’ experience is central to the STM’s 2025 Strategic Organizational Plan (SOP 2025), and the bus network is a key priority. In this context, the STM met the media today to give a technical presentation on how it organizes its drivers’ work and plans schedules and travel times for its bus network.
The STM is aware of the complex situations experienced by its field personnel. It is already taking action in a variety of ways and works with its drivers to fine-tune bus route planning on an ongoing basis.
Montréal, le 15 juin 2018 – Alors que l’amélioration de l’expérience client est au cœur du Plan stratégique organisationnel 2025 de la STM et que le réseau bus en constitue un axe important, la STM a rencontré les médias aujourd’hui pour une présentation technique portant sur l’organisation du travail des chauffeurs et sur la planification des horaires et des temps de parcours du réseau de bus.
Montréal, le 15 juin 2018 – La Société de transport de Montréal (STM) souhaite rappeler à sa clientèle qu’après avoir parcouru plus de quatre millions de kilomètres chacune depuis leur mise en service en 1966, les voitures de métro MR-63 cesseront définitivement leur service à la clientèle le 21 juin prochain.
The MR-63 métro cars — rolling stock designed in 1963 for the opening of the initial métro system in 1966 — will soon be a thing of the past as they will be replaced by the AZUR cars. The last original train will transport its last passengers in the week of June 18, 2018, before being permanently withdrawn from service.
Remplacées par les voitures AZUR, les voitures de métro MR-63 – matériel roulant conçu en 1963 pour l’ouverture du réseau initial du métro en 1966 – seront bientôt une chose du passé. En effet, le dernier train d’origine transportera ses derniers clients dans la semaine du 18 juin 2018, avant d’être définitivement retiré du réseau.
