Set in the station’s granite walls, the two stained-glass murals show coloured stripes streaking down like rays of sunlight. The interplay of lines represent the paths of individual lives, intersecting and separating over time.

About the artist

Born in Lyon, France into a family of artists and artisans, sculptor and glassworker Claude Bettinger (1942-1998) grew up in Alsace. He is known for numerous stained-glass windows he created for churches, notably the church of Cana in Israel and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Verdun.
