60 years of métro moments

On October 14, Montreal’s métro turns 60. For six decades, millions of users’ métro moments have come together there.

These are the little things—unexpected encounters, familiar habits or first-time experiences—that happen every day as we travel from A to B. This fall, we will be revealing, sharing and celebrating these moments all together.

Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Centraide of Greater Montréal, which works with people experiencing homelessness, and to Réchaud-Bus, which supports youth in underprivileged communities.

Each memory gathered will contribute to a collective artwork to be brought to life in one of our stations to mark 60 years of Montreal’s métro.

60 ans de métro-moments: La communauté montréalaise appelée à célébrer son métro! (in French only)

La Société de transport de Montréal (STM) a lancé aujourd’hui les festivités entourant le 60e anniversaire du métro de Montréal, le 14 octobre. Pour l’occasion, la STM s’allie à plusieurs de ses partenaires qui participeront, chacun à leur façon, à la célébration sous le thème 60 ans de métro-moments qui réfère aux souvenirs que chaque client a pu développer au fil de ses déplacements dans le métro.
