Montréal, April 18, 2019 — The Vendôme project, which involves the construction of a new entrance building at the métro station and a new pedestrian tunnel linking the entrance building to the train station and the McGill University Health Centre, will reach an important milestone over the weekend of April 19 with a tunnel sliding procedure being performed under the Canadian Pacific Railway right-of-way.

Montréal, le 18 avril 2019 - Le projet Vendôme, qui vise à aménager un nouvel édicule à cette station de métro et à construire un nouveau tunnel piétonnier reliant cet édicule à la gare de trains et au complexe hospitalier du Centre universitaire de santé McGill, franchira une étape importante, durant la fin de semaine du 19 avril, avec la poussée du tunnel sous les voies ferrées de la société Chemin de fer Canadien Pacifique.

After a major, well-received fall campaign designed to boost its employer visibility, enhance its appeal and attract applications, the STM is continuing its recruitment efforts this spring. This new phase, which is being rolled out this week, pursues the same goals but specifically targets job sectors deemed more critical. The sectors are divided into five main categories: heavy vehicle mechanics, industrial electronics technicians, engineering, information technologies and operations management.

Montréal, April 3, 2019 – The Board of Directors of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) adopted a resolution this evening whereby the Chief Executive Officer will speed up the necessary steps to obtain the designation of special constable for STM inspectors. Given the importance of the bond of trust between STM inspectors and the population, the steps in changing the inspectors’ status will include a series of meetings with Montréal civil society stakeholders.
