The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) stood out at the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) annual conference, held from November 12 to 15, 2023, in Edmonton. At the annual awards ceremony, the STM took home prizes in four categories, solidifying its role as a leader in sustainable mobility among public transit authorities across Canada.

Customers will be able to use the Chrono or Transit mobile apps and a credit card to purchase one or more digital fares to Montréal-Trudeau airport. Customers must then activate the fare and show it to the driver for visual validation when boarding the 747 within 120 minutes of activating the fare. The driver will issue a valid transit fare that allows access to all modes of transportation within the agglomeration of Montréal (Zone A) for 24 hours.

À l’aide des applications mobiles, les clients pourront se procurer un ou plusieurs titres numériques « YUL Aéroport Mtl-Trudeau » avec une carte de crédit. Le client devra ensuite l'activer et le montrer au chauffeur pour validation visuelle lors de son embarquement à bord du bus 747, dans une période de 120 minutes suivant son activation. Le chauffeur remettra un titre de transport valide permettant d’accéder à l’ensemble des modes de transport de l’agglomération de Montréal (zone A), durant 24 heures.
In phase with customer travel habits observed since the pandemic, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) announced today that its 31 bus lines with frequent service will be grouped together under the new name of high-frequency lines. In addition, these 31 lines will be marked in purple to make it easier for customers to find them within the network. The colour will also be used on customer information tools so that the nearest high-frequency line can be found at a glance.
En phase avec les habitudes de déplacements de la clientèle observées depuis la pandémie, la Société de transport de Montréal (STM) annonce aujourd’hui le regroupement de ses 31 lignes d’autobus à passage fréquent sous une nouvelle appellation : les lignes fréquentes. Ces 31 lignes auront également un affichage distinctif pour permettre à la clientèle de les repérer plus facilement dans le réseau : la couleur mauve.
The Blue line extension Project Office announced an important milestone today: the issuing of the final call for tenders for the construction of a tunnel using a tunnel boring machine and for site preparation work for some of the future stations and auxiliary structures. This is the largest contract to be awarded in this major project. When complete, the Blue line extension will transform the transportation landscape in the east end of Montréal and inject new life into the area’s economy.
