Montreal, May 22, 2007 - « The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is very pleased with the decision rendered today by the Honourable Justice Pierre Jasmin of the Superior Court in the case of Alstom Canada versus the STM », declared the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Société, Mr. Claude Trudel.

« This decision will enable us to continue our work and respect our already very tight deadline », added the Chairman.

Alstom Canada had instituted a request for a safeguard order for the purpose of stopping any discussions between the STM and Bombardier within the framework of the major project for replacement of its métro cars.
