Montréal, May 22, 2014 – To help visitors get around more easily on Montréal Museums Day next May 25, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), as the official carrier, will again offer free shuttle service as it has done every year since the event was first held in 1987.

The shuttle routes to the various participating museums will again originate in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. The free service is provided from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with departures every 20 minutes. The gathering point for passengers is located on the Promenade des artistes, between De Maisonneuve and Président-Kennedy. Thirty-five buses will travel along the five shuttle routes created specifically for the event.

Anyone choosing not to use the free shuttles can still visit most of the 34 participating museums, by taking the bus and métro network and presenting a valid fare card. In fact, the Unlimited Weekend pass entitles you to take as many trips as you want from 6 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for only $13. Furthermore, with the Family Outings program, up to five children 11 years old or less can travel for free on weekends when accompanied by an adult holding a valid transit fare card.
