Modifications to certain bus lines
for the St. Patrick’s Parade

Montreal, 13 March 2003 – The Société de transport de Montréal would like to inform its customers that modifications will be made, at various times, to the routes of several bus lines for the St. Patrick’s Parade. This event will take place in downtown Montreal on Sunday, March 16.

There will be no service on line 15 - Sainte-Catherine between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., or on line 150 - Ren-Lvesque between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The routes of the following lines will be modified during the indicated times :

  • line 57, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.;
  • lines 66, 165 and 166 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.;
  • line 107, between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.;
  • lines 61, 80, 107, 129 and 168 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.;
  • line 55 between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

It is suggested that people attending the parade use the métro. Trains will be added on lines 1-green and 2-orange for this occasion. As there are usually bigger crowds at the end of this type of event, clients should consider purchasing their return fares on their way to the parade.

For additional information on schedules, customers are invited to call the TELBUS number appearing on the panel at their bus stop. For information on routes, clients can call A-U-T-O-B-U-S (288-6287). The STM’s web site (www.stm.info) also contains a great deal of useful information.
