How much does the OPUS card cost  

OPUS allows you to charge several regular STM fares and also contains your transfer.

Regular fares that can be charged on OPUS

Transit fares Validity Period On sale
Monthly CAM pass From the 1st to the last day of the month As of the 20th of the previous month. You can also charge up to 12 monthly fares on your OPUS
Weekly CAM pass From Monday to Sunday As of the previous Friday. You cannot charge more than one weekly fare at a time
10 single trips At all times At all times

OPUS CardOPUS à l’année

You can also take advantage of an annual subscription to monthly fares. To subscribe to the OPUS à l’année (Annual OPUS) service and receive your OPUS card at home, consult the OPUS à l’année subscription section.

On the 15th of each month, the cost of the monthly fare for the following month will be debited to your credit card or to your bank account, depending on the method of payment you have selected. It’s as simple as that!

Where to obtain and charge a regular fare OPUS card

You can buy your regular fare OPUS card from the fare collectors in the métro stations or at participating points of sale.

You can recharge it:

  • in the métro stations, at the fare booth* or at the fare vending machines or recharging terminals**
  • at participating points of sale

Regular fare clients can pay their fare in cash on the buses (exact payment only) and to the fare collector in the métro.

In the event of a broken or non-functioning card

You must go to the customer service centre to obtain a new OPUS card.

Weekends and holidays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Customer service points are also open Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the Honoré-Beaugrand, Jean-Talon, Lionel-Groulx and Côte-Vertu métro stations, as well as at the STM terminus located at the Fairview shopping centre in Pointe-Claire.
