Opened: January 1988.

Origin of name: boulevard Édouard-Montpetit, named in honour of economist Édouard Montpetit (1881-1954), founder of the École des sciences sociales, économiques et politiques of the Université de Montréal in 1920.

Did you know? Originally, the name of this station was supposed to be Vincent-D'Indy.
