Société de transport de Montréal is launching its first three passenger information terminals in test mode under the iBUS project. The terminals provide real-time information on the status of the bus system with the aim of improving the passenger experience and regularizing bus service.

These terminals are located at the Cadillac station (north and south entryways) and at the corner of Boulevard Henri-Bourassa and Boulevard Lacordaire.

  • Cadillac – South entryway: lines 32 North, 185 East and 364 East
  • Cadillac – North entryway: lines 32 South, 432 North, 185 West, 364 West
  • Lacordaire and Henri-Bourassa: 32 South, 69 West, 353 West, 380 West, 432 South

The terminals display the planned and real time of bus passages and network disruptions (congestion, detours and moved bus stops). A total of 90 terminals will be put into operation gradually this year: 64 at métro station entryways and 26 at bus stops on busy streets.

The tests on the three terminals will allow the STM to assess their visual quality, the accuracy of the information and the display system’s performance in real and planned time. Passengers are also invited to submitted their comments by text message to express their appreciation or report any bug.

Thanks to the iBUS project, all STM buses are now equipped with onboard displays that visually and audibly announce the next stop.
