- Anyone paying the reduced fare without the photo ID OPUS card is liable to a fine and administrative fees.
- Children must be accompanied at all times to ride free of charge. The Family Outings program allows up to five children
11 years old and younger to ride at no cost when accompanied by an adult with a valid transit pass on weekends (from Friday 6 p.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m.), legal holidays, and from December 22, 2012 to January 6, 2013, from March 2 to 10, 2013 as well as from June 22 to September 2, 2013. This program is not valid aboard 747 Aéroport P-E Trudeau buses.
- For the 12-17 age group, 1-trip or 2-trip reduced fare passes can only be charged onto the OPUS card. The photo ID OPUS card is not compulsory for magnetic card purchases for the 6-11 age group.
- This pass must be used once before midnight.
- This pass authorizes access to 1 adult accompanying a group of children aged 6-13 years and is considered as one simultaneous trip.
- The 2-trip fare available on L'occasionnelle card can only be purchased through authorized retailers, fare collectors, and in automated fare vending machines. This item is only available on magnetic cards.
- The OPUS card costs $6. Costs for issuing the OPUS card for the 6-11 age group are $6, and $15 for the 12-25 and 65 and over age groups.
- The 1-trip pass on a magnetic card is only available in the métro, and on OPUS cards through authorized retailers only.
Fare administration and corresponding transit fare use must comply with provisions outlined in By-Law R-037 and its amendments and By-Law R-105 and its amendments with respect to conditions pertaining to ownership and use of all transit fares issued by STM and any modifications.
Please note that transit fares are not sold aboard vehicules.
