STM in concert with Osheaga
Montréal, July 26, 2010 – For a third consecutive year, Société de transport de Montréal (STM) joins forces with the Osheaga Music Festival held at Parc Jean-Drapeau next July 31 and August 1, as part of the outdoor concerts presented this summer at Parc Jean-Drapeau by EVENKO.
For the occasion, participants who have Osheaga concert tickets featuring the STM logo will have free access to the bus and métro network for their return trip to the Festival. To enjoy their free public transit, festival-goers must simply show their concert ticket to bus drivers or métro fare collectors. They must also have their concert ticket on hand when using public transit as proof of a valid fare.
In addition, the FUNAMBUS will be back this year with something new. Located on a hilltop and offering a clear view of the two main stages, the FUNAMBUS will feature listening stations inside for a preview of the artists who will be performing this year as part of the Music Fest.
This STM initiative is directly related to its commitment to sustainable development. Indeed, all the elements composing the Funambus are made from recycled materials. Moreover, STM takes this opportunity to promote Society in Motion, a movement that encourages public transit use, which, in itself, is a positive action for the environment. An opportunity not to be missed !– 30 –
