La Fête des enfants: STM offers free passes for next August 14 and 15
Montréal, August 10, 2010– Société de transport de Montréal (STM) takes pride in being the official transporter, for a twelfth consecutive year, for the Children’s Fest, La Fête des enfants de Montréal, at Parc Jean-Drapeau. And to promote public transit use, STM is offering free access to its bus and metro system to families who attend the event next August 14 and 15.
This year, clients simply have to show the Festival pass to the bus driver or métro fare collector. Indeed, on those days, the pass serves as a valid transit fare that must be kept as proof of payment while its holder rides the transit system.
Passes to the Children’s Fest will be available on the STM website (www.stm.info) starting August 6. Anyone who does not have access to the Internet or a printer can obtain a pass from metro fare collectors as of 1 p.m. on August 13. The pass is valid for adults accompanied by children under the age of 18, and each adult must have the STM pass on hand at all times.
The STM is happy to contribute to the success of this familiy activity which, over the years, has become a popular, unifying event for Montréal’s various communities. This year, the STM presents a novel activity, Jumpaï. Family fun for eveyone at La Fête des enfants ! Welcome to all !
