From May 20 to August 24, 2014, the Guy entrance to Guy-Concordia station, located at 1445 rue Guy, will be closed to customers while repairs take place. Transit users can still enter the station from the Saint-Mathieu entrance, at the corner of Saint-Mathieu and De Maisonneuve.

The temporary closure will enable the STM to repair the concrete slab, staircases and lighting. Wall and floor finishes will also be replaced.

Renovations will be carried out in two phases. Starting May 20, accessing the station from the Guy entrance and from Concordia University will not be possible. However, the type of work planned in the second phase will allow the access from Concordia University to reopen on July 12. The entrance will fully open on August 25, although minor work will continue until the end of the year.

With over 8 million passengers transiting through the station in 2013, Guy-Concordia ranks third among the busiest stations, and the bus stops surrounding it are among the network’s most heavily used.
