Last November 27, Marie Turcotte received an Individual Leadership Award from the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA). This award of excellence recognizes a single major contribution made by an individual having resulted in the betterment of a public transit initiative on behalf of their organization.

This award of excellence recognizes a single major contribution made by an individual having resulted in the betterment of a public transit initiative on behalf of their organization.

Over the past few years, her unwavering commitment to universal access in public transportation, as well as her leadership in the matter, have been of great help in convincing the STM’s board of directors and executives to take the needs of persons with functional limitations into better account with regards to public transportation. Marie Turcotte is a leading advocate for the rights of disabled transit users.
