The lane will be implemented on October 5

Montréal, October 1st, 2020 – The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is announcing the implementation of its reserved lane for buses, taxis and carpools (two or more people) on Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, between Graveline and Delmeade streets, in the Saint-Laurent borough and the Town of Mont-Royal. The lane will be implemented on October 5.

Totalling 2.7 kilometres in length, the reserved lane will be in operation Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. eastbound, between Graveline and Delmeade streets. Other bus priority measures will be implemented in a second phase on Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse in 2021. Traffic light controls will be replaced to detect buses at intersections and respond to real-time requests for priority sent by buses, improving travel times. These measures will benefit approximately 2,000 trips daily, mostly during afternoon rush hour, on lines 100, 179, 202, 409 and 460.

This work is made possible through funding from the Ministère des Transports du Québec.
