The STM announces improved frequency
for early evening métro service from December 6 to 21, 2007
Montreal, December 6, 2007 - As the period preceding the Holidays is always a very busy one, the STM is announcing that it will increase the frequency of service on the metro’s 1 – Green and 2 – Orange lines.
Service will be increased every day between 6:15 pm and 7:15 pm, from December 6 to December 21 inclusively. Such a measure will be particularly noticeable for transit users heading toward Honoré-Beaugrand and Montmorency stations, with shorter waiting times and improved comfort.
Indeed, last November 29, the STM presented its service improvements programme, effective January 8, 2008, according to which the STM will provide an average of 17% more service on the métro’s 1, 2 and 5 lines, mostly during off-peak periods.
The STM also takes this opportunity to wish clients a very merry holiday season and invites them to choose public transit for all their transportation needs. For holiday festivities, it’s the responsible choice !
