to the Just for Laughs Festival
Montreal, June 7, 2007 - For the first time, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is teaming up with the Just for Laughs Festival, which will run from July 8 to 29. As part of this partnership, the STM will provide the Festival with an original form of exposure with the July CAM, sold to more than 320 000 individuals, sporting the Just for Laughs colours. The same will be true for thousands of summer Planibus folders available in the network as of June 11.
«There is no question that the STM is a key partner in major Montréal events, and it goes without saying that we are proud of this first-time association with this festival that has been such a success for 25 years now », declared the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the STM, Claude Trudel.
«I invite the public to take full advantage of all the activities offered on the Festival sites, in particular those associated with Arts urbains with which the Société is closely associated. With that in mind, remember that public transit is truly the best way of getting there», added Mr. Trudel.
« For its part, in order to encourage the use of public transit among its participants, the Festival’s website will specify the métro station or bus routes that will take participants directly to the sites for the planned events. Also, July CAM-holders can obtain discount on the price of tickets for shows and other Festival merchandise » has declared the founder and president of Just for Laughs Festival, Mr. Gilbert Rozon.
