Modifications to bus and métro service
Montreal, 22 June 2006- The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) reminds transit users that on Saturday, June 24, the 27 – Boulevard St-Joseph, 47 –Masson, 97 – Mont-Royal, 132 – Viau, 139 – Pie-IX, 185 – Sherbrooke and 197 – Rosemont bus routes will be modified at different times as of 2:30 p.m., because of the Fête nationale show being presented at parc Maisonneuve. Also, as of 10:30 p.m., the 80, 97, 129, 365 and 368 bus routes could be altered for security reasons.
In addition, because of the Saint-Jean Baptiste parade held downtown, bus service will be cancelled on the 15 – Sainte-Catherine bus route. The 30 – St-Denis/St-Hubert and 55 – Boulevard Saint-Laurent routes will be deviated between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., as well as the 150 – Ren-Lvesque from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Trains will be added on the métro’s 1 – Green line in the afternoon and evening and on the other lines as needed to meet with demand. As these numerous activities generate increased ridership in the métro, bicycles will not be permitted at any time that day. To avoid line-ups after these events, the STM recommends that transit users purchase their return fare ahead of time.
Service on Saturday, June 24
On Saturday, June 24, buses and métro will be providing weekend service, with the métro staying open as late as on Saturdays. Bus service will run according to either Saturday or Sunday schedules.

For other information, including travel directions, please call STM-INFO (786-4636). Bus timetables updated according to daily events are now available up to seven days in advance from the STM website at www.stm.info, ase well as more useful transit information.
